Final presentations “Inclusive Design” at #dexpo15

Today was the day we worked so hard for. All the participants of the Design Expo finally presented their projects and ideas about the topic “Inclusive Design and Technologies” in Redmond. Of course we were nervous and thrilled, but we were well prepared, als we had some run throughs with the whole Tracktile team in the morning (Thank you Richard and Andreas for your huge support these days!). We presented as second group and were rather relieved when the presentation was over, because we could appreciate the next projects so much more.

The presentation itself was very smooth, maybe it was even the best we ever did. Unfortunately our prototype decided to strike on stage — for the first time ever. Later we found out that it was no technical problem with the object, bus just a software problem for playing the sound, so at least our prototype didn’t broke down. We used the chance to demonstrate the prototypes in our booth in the open showcase later, where we could explain the design process and functionalities to everybody individually.

The open showcase is set up together with the participants of the Imagine Cup and with the pressure of the presentation gone, we finally could connect with fellow students and other interesting people on the Expo.

Tomorrow we will have our open showcase during the whole day again, which also allows us to get more than only a glimpse of the other great projects from all over the world, assembled in the showcase room.

#dexpo15 was the hashtag on twitter today, so feel free to allow yourself to have a look at the tweets and pictures right out of the Stinger room today,
